Our Story

Giving Back to the Community

The family of William and Elizabeth Leeper settled in the community of New York in Wayne County Iowa in 1857.

Descendants of the Leeper family have resided in Wayne and Decatur counties of Iowa since that time.

The family now has members in business and professions around the world that trace their roots back to these Iowa townships:

Eden, Hamilton, Morgan and Woodland in Decatur County Clinton, Grand River, Jefferson and Warren in Wayne County Iowa.

Lowell and May Leeper farmed outside of Lineville Iowa for almost 25 years, sharing an unmatched commitment to the vitality of the community.  They unselfishly gave to the county extension, 4-H and more for many years. Lowell and May strongly believed in the power of youth.

They also believed education of the youth is crucial to a community's future.

With this as their goal, they established Leeper Scholarship Foundation to help the youth in their hometown townships achieve prosperity and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the community.
